‘Twilight’ is the relaxing new lofi single from fast-rising London-based producer Rosehip. The calming and melancholic track is rich in ethereal sound design, culminating in a dramatic synth chord climax with sounds reminiscent of Chillwave and Future Bass.

Taken from Rosehip’s upcoming EP ‘Stargaze’, ‘Twilight’ introduces this peaceful collection of tracks with a gentle piano progression and a soft beat that calms and provokes a deep emotional connection.

“It was largely inspired by the 1850 Henry Wadsworth Longfellow poem ‘Twilight’ [sampled at 1:16]. This poem portrays a cold stormy seashore at dusk in the eyes of a child looking out through the window of a warm fisherman’s cottage. The innocent child sees the wild ocean as formidable and almost supernatural, safely viewed from the comfort of their home.”

“This is the feeling I wanted to evoke in my track and indeed through the whole EP ‘Stargaze’. A feeling of comfort amidst all the angst. A feeling that embodies 2021 for me”.
